PAULIN -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to authorizing a rate increase for early intervention services THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2557 of the public health law is amended by adding a new subdivision 6 to read as follows: 6. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY INCONSISTENT PROVISION OF LAW OR REGULATION, FOR THE RATE YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2024, THE COMMISSIONER SHALL PROVIDE FOR AN ELEVEN PERCENT INCREASE IN THE RATES FOR APPROVED COSTS FOR EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES RENDERED ON OR AFTER SUCH DATE. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD11156-02-3
