 AN ACT in relation to authorizing the state  cemetery  board  to  accept
   from  the town of Clarkstown an application for funding from the state
   cemetery vandalism restoration, monument repair or removal and  admin-
   istration fund for three abandoned cemeteries
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law, rule or regulation to
 the contrary, the state cemetery board is hereby  authorized  to  accept
 from the town of Clarkstown, Rockland county, an application for funding
 from  the  state  cemetery  vandalism  restoration,  monument  repair or
 removal and administration fund established pursuant to section 97-r  of
 the  state  finance  law  for the maintenance of the following abandoned
 cemeteries:  the Nyack Rural Cemetery and the Mount Moor Cemetery,  both
 located in West Nyack, and the Nanuet Cemetery, located in Nanuet.
   If  satisfied  that the town of Clarkstown would otherwise be entitled
 to such funding if such town had filed applications for the  funding  by
 the  appropriate  dates,  the state cemetery board may make available to
 the town appropriate amounts for the  repair  and  maintenance  of  such
 abandoned cemeteries pursuant to article 15 of the not-for-profit corpo-
 ration law.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
