DICKENS -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Election Law AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to a manual recount of certain elections THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 9-208 of the election law is amended by adding a new paragraph (e) to read as follows: (E) PARAGRAPH (A) OF THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL NOT APPLY TO A POLITICAL PARTY DESIGNATING OR NOMINATING CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST TIME, TO CANDI- DATES NOMINATED BY PARTY CAUCUS, NOR TO CANDIDATES FOR JUDICIAL OFFICES. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD11473-01-3
