GUNTHER -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Codes AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to providing that all court clerks of the unified court system shall be designated as peace officers THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph b of subdivision 21 of section 2.10 of the crimi- nal procedure law, as added by chapter 843 of the laws of 1980, is amended to read as follows: b. Court clerks of the unified court system [in the first and second departments]. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD13417-01-3
