ROSENTHAL -- read once and referred to the Committee on Higher Education AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to providing free menstrual products in the restrooms of private universities THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 267-b to read as follows: § 267-B. MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS IN PRIVATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. ALL PRIVATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN THE STATE SHALL PROVIDE MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS IN THE RESTROOMS OF SUCH SCHOOL BUILDING OR BUILDINGS. SUCH PRODUCTS SHALL BE PROVIDED AT NO CHARGE TO STUDENTS. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
