SEAWRIGHT -- read once and referred to the Committee on Mental Health AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law and the state finance law, in relation to expanding the legislative reporting requirements for the office of mental health and the office for people with developmental disabilities THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision (i) of section 33.07 of the mental hygiene law, as amended by chapter 37 of the laws of 2011, is amended to read as follows: (i) The office of mental health and the office for people with devel- opmental disabilities shall, by the fifteenth day of December of each year, commencing on December fifteenth, two thousand eleven, submit and publish on its official website, a report to the governor, speaker of the assembly, temporary president of the senate, CHAIR OF THE ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, CHAIR OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON DISABILITIES, chair of the assembly committee on mental health, and the chair of the senate committee on mental health, detailing how persons' federal benefits are being utilized. § 2. The opening paragraph of subdivision 2-a of section 95-e of the state finance law, as amended by section 7 of part AA of chapter 56 of the laws of 2020, is amended to read as follows: On or before the first day of February each year, the commissioner of the office for people with developmental disabilities shall provide a written report to the temporary president of the senate, speaker of the assembly, chair of the senate finance committee, chair of the assembly ways and means committee, chair of the senate committee on health, chair of the assembly health committee, CHAIR OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON DISA- BILITIES, CHAIR OF THE ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, the state comptroller and the public. Such report shall include how the monies of the fund were utilized during the preceding calendar year, and shall include: EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
