CONGRATULATING Brady Francis Bosse upon the
occasion of receiving the distinguished rank of
Eagle Scout, the most prestigious of Scouting
honors, in April of 2023

WHEREAS, Through his diligence and rigorous efforts, Brady Francis
Bosse has achieved Scouting's highest and most prestigious rank, Eagle
Scout; the Eagle Court of Honor ceremony will be held on Sunday, June
18, 2023, at the Plandome Village Green in Plandome, New York; and

WHEREAS, Starting as a Tiger Cub in Pack 101 and earning the Arrow
of Light award, Brady Francis Bosse is a member of Boy Scouts of America
Troop 71 in Plandome, New York; and

WHEREAS, In Troop 71, Brady Francis Bosse has earned 36 merit badges
and served in various leadership positions, including Troop Guide,
Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, and Quartermaster; he also
attended summer camps at Aquehonga Ten Mile River Scout Camp and at
Onteora Scout Reservation; and

WHEREAS, America has achieved its greatest heights of glory through
the dedication, determination and tireless efforts of the outstanding
citizens of this Nation; and

WHEREAS, It is only with the continued diligence and devotion of our
youth, tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain its glory; and

WHEREAS, Boy Scouts of America and its members are dedicated to the
development of character and leadership in the youth of this Nation; and

WHEREAS, The highest achievement of leadership in Scouting, earned
by approximately five percent of all Boy Scouts, is the distinguished
rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, This outstanding young man has been involved in Scouting
for many years, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has attained all
the necessary achievements, including completion of a community service
project, which was successfully planned, developed, and executed; and

WHEREAS, For his project, Brady Francis Bosse designed, planned, and
built a 32 footlong weatherproof wooden walkway over a muddy section on
the Virginia Trail at Udalls Cove Park and Preserve in Little Neck, New
York; after months of planning, he supervised a team of scouts, adults,
friends, and family to install the new walkway and lay down 130 square
feet of fresh woodchips to help naturally improve 500 feet of the trail;
and

WHEREAS, Brady Francis Bosse's project fundraiser at Shake Shack
allowed him to fully cover the cost of the project as well as provide an
additional donation to Udalls; and

WHEREAS, His dedication to the safety and well-being of the citizens
of Plandome, New York is represented through his project and

demonstrates his devotion to both community and commitment to others;
and

WHEREAS, As he goes forward in his academic career, Brady Francis
Bosse has recently finished his junior year at Chaminade High School,
where he was enrolled in honors and Advanced Placement classes; this
summer, he will attend the New York Boys State program and represent the
Diocese of Rockville Centre on pilgrimage to World Youth Day in
Portugal, while continuing the ideals and principles of the Boy Scouts;
and

WHEREAS, Brady Francis Bosse's perseverance in rising through the
ranks to Eagle Scout is a strong indication of his ability to master
difficult tasks; his accomplishment will enable him to emerge as a
leader, fully equipped to meet the challenges of today's complex
society; and

WHEREAS, This new Eagle Scout is a credit to his family, his school,
his community, his State and his Nation, and no doubt his future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
congratulate and honor Brady Francis Bosse on achieving the rank of
Eagle Scout; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Brady Francis Bosse.
