MOURNING the death of Arthur Antini, distinguished
citizen and devoted member of his community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Antini of Brewster, New York, died on May 16, 2023
at the age of 90; and

WHEREAS, A Korean War veteran with the United States Navy, Arthur
Antini served on two destroyers, the USS The Sullivans and USS Rooks;
and

WHEREAS, After his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1953, Arthur
Antini began a 35 year career working for the United States Post Office;
and

WHEREAS, On January 15, 1955, Arthur Antini married his wife Myrtle
for a loving 60 years; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Antini distinguished himself in his profession and
by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
his community; and

WHEREAS, A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Arthur Antini
treasured spending time with his family and enjoyed Sunday meals and
watching sports; he was an avid fan of the New York Yankees; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Antini is survived by his three children, Linda
Penebre, Pamela Antini, and Steven Antini, and his grandchildren Michael
Penebre, Marcello and Leonardo Antini; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Arthur Antini leaves behind a legacy which will long endure
the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all he
served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Arthur Antini, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Arthur Antini.
