COMMENDING the Desert of New York upon the
occasion of hosting its Annual Desert Conference on
May 18, 2024

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Desert of New York upon the occasion of hosting its Annual
Desert Conference on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Suffern, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Desert of New York Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles
Mystic Shrine of North and South America, Inc. is an organization which
embraces the basic fundamental concepts of the Masonic Order with a
broader spectrum of dispensing charity in the community; and

WHEREAS, Each year, this auspicious conference honors the selfless
work and undertakings of this grand body, and pays just tribute to its
dedicated leadership and members for their ceaseless dedication to the
local community, tirelessly giving of their time and energies to
countless initiatives and programs throughout the year; and

WHEREAS, This gathering of all Imperial Officers, Illustrious
Potentates and Commandresses, current ranking officers, Nobles and
Daughters puts forth a light and celestial joy few words can describe,
while truly cherishing the tradition and history of this iconic
organization; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, they come together to recognize the good work
being brought forth across the entirety of the State of New York,
gathering in harmony, sisterhood, and brotherhood to share ideas, hope,
and continuing to strengthen the bond between each other and their
communities both near and far; and

WHEREAS, Under the guidance and leadership of the honorable, most
benevolent Imperial Deputy of the Desert, Damien E. Hall, the Nobles of
the Desert of New York continue to conduct virtuous acts, bringing honor
to their Temples and the State; and

WHEREAS, Through the Imperial Commandress Dr. Karen Wright-Chisolm
and under the guidance and leadership of the most elegant Imperial
Deputy of the Desert Cassandra Duffy, they will continue to usher our
daughters forward in all their most excellent endeavors, being the
backbones of their communities; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, the Desert of New York has
demonstrated continuous service to the residents and communities which
it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Desert of New York is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its dedicated leadership and members,
whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization
and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Desert of New York;
and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Desert of New York upon the occasion of hosting its Annual
Desert Conference on May 18, 2024; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Desert of New York Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order
Nobles Mystic Shrine of North and South America, Inc.
