COMMENDING Jack Beyer upon the occasion of his
designation as State President of the Future Farmers
of America
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Jack Beyer
upon the occasion of his designation as State President of the Future
Farmers of America; it is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges noteworthy events which deserve special recognition; and
WHEREAS, At age 17, Jack Beyer is a third-generation farmer at Glory
Days Farm in Lowville, New York; the farm has 120 cows and is comprised
of 500 acres; and
WHEREAS, Jack Beyer has been an active member of Lowville Academy's
Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter for six years; after a rigorous
interview process, he was elected as the State President; and
WHEREAS, Jack Beyer has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence, and leadership, consequently being
designated for this special honor; he attributes his selection as State
President to his passion and drive, recently completing officer
training; and
WHEREAS, As State President, Jack Beyer plans to facilitate
workshops, visit other chapters of the FFA, vote on national FFA laws,
and advocate for agriculture, a significant part of the foundation upon
which our distinct American heritage was built; and
WHEREAS, Attending an agricultural college and potentially serving
as a lobbyist or working in a governmental agency are Jack Beyer's main
objectives; he hopes to inspire other students to take advantage of
opportunities which are offered by the FFA; he is enthusiastic about the
upcoming year during which he will lead New York State's Future Farmers
of America and work with his team; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Jack Beyer has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Jack Beyer upon the occasion of his designation as State
President of the Future Farmers of America; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jack Beyer.
