CONGRATULATING Natalie Hamue upon the occasion of
receiving the distinguished Girl Scout Bronze Award,
the most prestigious of Junior Scouting honors
WHEREAS, Natalie Hamue, through her diligence and rigorous efforts,
has achieved Girl Scout Junior's highest and most prestigious honor, the
Girl Scout Bronze Award; the Willistons, Albertson, Roslyn, Mineola
(W.A.R.M.) Girl Scout Association Award Ceremony will be held on
Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Chaminade High School's Activity Athletic
Center in Mineola, New York; and
WHEREAS, Natalie Hamue is a member of Girl Scouts of America Troop
1810; and
WHEREAS, America has achieved its greatest heights of glory through
the dedication, determination, and tireless efforts of the outstanding
citizens of this Nation; and
WHEREAS, It is only with the continued diligence and devotion of our
youth, tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain its glory; and
WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has cultivated in our nation's young people
the goals of building solid values of sisterhood and the importance of
working with others, stimulating both mind and body, instilling pride,
and encouraging community service and success; and
WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has expanded the horizons of the countless
young women who have participated in the programs which have made Girl
Scouting an American and international institution; and
WHEREAS, The Girl Scout Bronze Award requires the Girl Scout Junior
to learn the leadership and planning skills necessary to follow through
on a project that makes a positive impact on her community; working
together toward this award demonstrates her commitment to helping
others, improving her community and the world, and becoming the best she
can be; and
WHEREAS, To earn the Bronze Award, Natalie Hamue completed a Bronze
Award community service project which she planned, developed, and
executed; and
WHEREAS, Thinking about the economic impact of the pandemic,
including job loss and potential loss of donations that charitable
organizations faced, along with their love for animals, Troop 1810 chose
to collect toys, leashes, and food for animals for Cove Animal Shelter
in Glen Cove, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Bronze Award symbolizes a Girl Scout Junior's
accomplishments in Girl Scouting and community activities as she matures
and works to better her life and the lives of others; it is tangible
evidence of Natalie Hamue's high character and commitment to her
community, New York State, and our Nation; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young woman has been involved in Scouting
for years, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has attained all the
necessary achievements; and
WHEREAS, Natalie Hamue is a credit to her family, her school, her
community, her State and her Nation, and no doubt her future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
congratulate and honor Natalie Hamue upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Girl Scout Bronze Award; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Natalie Hamue.
