CONGRATULATING Aryana Patel upon the occasion of
receiving the Girl Scout Silver Award, Cadette
Scouting's highest award and Girl Scouting's second
highest achievement

WHEREAS, Aryana Patel, through her diligence and rigorous efforts,
has achieved Cadette Scouting's highest and Girl Scouting's second
highest achievement, the Silver Award; the Willistons, Albertson,
Roslyn, Mineola (W.A.R.M.) Girl Scout Association Award Ceremony will be
held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Chaminade High School's Activity
Athletic Center in Mineola, New York; and

WHEREAS, Aryana Patel is a member of the Girl Scouts of America
Troop 1825; and

WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has cultivated in our Nation's young people
the goals of building solid values of sisterhood and the importance of
working with others, stimulating both mind and body, instilling pride,
and encouraging community service and success; and

WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has expanded the horizons of the countless
hundreds of thousands who have participated in Scouting programs which
have made Scouting an American and international institution; and

WHEREAS, In 2020, Aryana Patel completed a Silver Award community
service project which she planned, developed and executed along with
three of her fellow Scouts; their topic was focused on raising awareness
about dangerous ingredients in our beauty aids and toiletries; and

WHEREAS, To achieve this goal, Aryana Patel and her friends created
a website and pamphlet, and filmed videos on the dangers of certain
harmful ingredients and how to avoid them; they also taught other Girl
Scout troops how to make their own shampoo and conditioner using
wholesome and safe ingredients; and

WHEREAS, Aryana Patel is a credit to her family, her school, her
community, her State and her Nation, and no doubt her future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Aryana Patel, recognizing her achievement in earning the
Girl Scout Silver Award, and to wish her continued success in all her
future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Aryana Patel.
