HONORING Town Board member Alan Trombley for his
more than 35 years of distinguished service to the
Town of Lee, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have
devoted themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their
community and the needs of its residents; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Town Board member Alan Trombley for his more than 35 years of
distinguished service to the Town of Lee, New York; and

WHEREAS, For more than three decades, Alan Trombley gave tirelessly
of his time and energies as a steadfast public servant to the citizens
of the Town of Lee, New York, providing his beloved community with
exceptional counsel and leadership; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his illustrious tenure as a member of the Town
Board, Alan Trombley worked alongside fellow elected officials and the
community to grow the Town of Lee, attracting new businesses and
residents to the area; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, he was instrumental in countless initiatives
aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of the community;
and

WHEREAS, In addition to his role with the Town Board, Alan Trombley
spent his career as an educator for 36 years in the Rome School District
where he continues to serve as a substitute teacher; and

WHEREAS, Through his dedication and tireless efforts, Alan Trombley
has helped make the Town of Lee a place where families want to live,
tourists want to visit, and businesses want to locate; his unwavering
commitment, willingness and ability to understand and respond to the
concerns of the people of Lee, have made a substantial contribution to
the betterment of this community; and

WHEREAS, For more than 35 years, Alan Trombley rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the Town of Lee, earning the
admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate
blending of strength, leadership, intellect, and commitment as that
demonstrated by Alan Trombley over a lifetime of sacrifice and
dedication to others; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Town Board member Alan Trombley for his more than 35 years of
distinguished service to the Town of Lee, and to wish him well in all
his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Alan Trombley.
