HONORING Rosemary Benzo Bonacci upon the occasion
of her retirement after 30 years of distinguished
service to the Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
those individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Rosemary Benzo Bonacci upon the occasion of her retirement after 30
years of distinguished service to the Charles T. Sitrin Health Care
Center; and

WHEREAS, For the past 30 years, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci rendered
faithful, conscientious, and valuable service to the Charles T. Sitrin
Health Care Center; and

WHEREAS, In her capacity as Vice President of Sitrin Foundation &
Communications, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci served with loyalty, honor, and
distinction; and

WHEREAS, In her official acts, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci was governed
by a keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human
problems; and

WHEREAS, Born in Utica and currently residing in Whitesboro with her
husband Michael Bonacci, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci holds degrees in
Business, Human Resource Management, and Communications, from Mohawk
Valley Community College, The New School for Social Research, and the
College of St. Rose, respectively; and

WHEREAS, Working at Utica University as an Adjunct Professor in
Business & Justice Studies, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci teaches courses in
public relations management, case analysis, and strategic campaigns; and

WHEREAS, Well-versed in her field of employment, Rosemary Benzo
Bonacci is adept in non-profit philanthropy, advancement, grant proposal
writing, special events, and communications and marketing, and has
always proven to be an asset to the Charles T. Sitrin Health Care
Center; and

WHEREAS, Her skills relating to strategic planning, program
development, legislative relations, media relations, crisis
communication, as well as social media management, have allowed her to
excel in her field, serving as a role model for others; and

WHEREAS, Active in her community, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci created the
Easter Bag Brigade in 2016, a program to provide custom-made Easter bags
to Pre-K children at the Thea Bowman House as well as at the
Neighborhood Center; approximately 200 children receive these bags
annually as a direct result of the devoted volunteers who consistently
show up for the Easter Bag Brigade; and


WHEREAS, In her giving nature, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci is also active
with Halloween Bags for Bowman which provides candy bags for Pre-K
children at the Thea Bowman House yearly; she also participates in the
annual Christmas Adopt-A-Family program through the House, as well as
selflessly supports Mother Marianne's West Side Kitchen through holiday
giving; and

WHEREAS, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci also proudly holds membership on the
Slocum-Dickson Foundation and Sitrin Foundation Boards; and

WHEREAS, During her tenure with the Charles T. Sitrin Health Care
Center, Rosemary Benzo Bonacci earned the admiration, esteem, and
affection of her colleagues, and gave unstintingly of herself to the
progression, growth, and success of her career endeavors; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Rosemary Benzo Bonacci upon the occasion of her retirement after
30 years of distinguished service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Rosemary Benzo Bonacci.
