COMMENDING the Association of School Business
Officials of New York upon the occasion of
celebrating its 75th Anniversary

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those organizations of commitment and high achievement whose
purpose and endeavors prove a dedication to the pursuit of excellence in
the education of the youth of this noble Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Association of School Business Officials of New York upon
the occasion of its 75th Anniversary to be celebrated at its Annual
Education Summit and Expo from June 4-7, 2023, in Saratoga Springs, New
York; and

WHEREAS, The theme for this year's conference is "Together Towards
Tomorrow, 75 Years of Advancing the Business of Education"; and

WHEREAS, The Association of School Business Officials of New York
(ASBO New York), formerly the New York State Association of School
Business Officials (NYSASBO), was established in 1948; and

WHEREAS, This vital nonprofit membership organization is affiliated
with the Association of School Business Officials International and
chartered by the New York State Board of Regents; and

WHEREAS, For 75 years, ASBO New York has supported the professional
growth of their members who are recognized as experts in school finance
and operations, and leaders in education who tirelessly give of their
efforts to ensure quality education for all students; and

WHEREAS, The success of ASBO New York is in direct correlation to
the efforts of its members, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the institution and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Association of School Business Officials of New York upon
the occasion of celebrating its 75th Anniversary; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Association of School Business Officials of New York.
