Assembly Resolution No. 2054

HONORING Mike Hauser upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2024 Fulton County
Liberty Bell Award presented by the Fulton County
Bar Association
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Mike Hauser upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2024 Fulton County Liberty Bell Award presented by the Fulton County Bar
Association; and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Gloversville, New York, Mike Hauser
graduated from Gloversville High School in 1986; furthering his
education, he earned an Associate of Business Administration from Fulton
Montgomery Community College in 1989 and a Bachelor of Science in
Accounting from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in 1991; and
WHEREAS, Developing a passion for sports promoting while in college,
Mike Hauser spent six years of his career as an accountant before
utilizing his marketing skills in the sports world; he transitioned into
a sales career with Taylor Made Products, where he was involved in the
creation of the Aqua Training Bag, and worldwide distribution; and
WHEREAS, Honing his work, Mike Hauser found success through
establishing a national marine distribution network called Spray Nine,
which included placement of Marine Spray Nine into 4,400 Walmart stores;
he also set up world-wide distribution of a night vision camera for
boats called Nightwave for Sionyx; and
WHEREAS, With Twin Cities Sports Promotions, Mike Hauser created and
promoted sports memorabilia shows and player appearances for 25 years
and the Adirondack Outdoorsman Show for last 20 years; and
WHEREAS, A published author, Mike Hauser produces a monthly sports
history column in the Leader-Herald called "Upstate N.Y. Sports Lore";
he also published three sports history books under the "Hometown Sports
Heroes" series and is currently working on another; and
WHEREAS, Devoted to his community, Mike Hauser has been the coach
and administrator for the Gloversville Little League for the last 25
years; serves as Vice President of the Parkhurst Field Foundation; is a
board member of the Fulton County Historical Society of over 20 years;
founded the Fulton County Baseball & Sports Hall of Fame; serves as an
advisor to the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame; and is the
Cooperstown/Upstate NY Chapter President to the Society for American
Baseball Research (SABR); and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, Lori, and their two
daughters, Katie and Kerri, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of
his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mike Hauser upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2024 Fulton County Liberty Bell Award presented by the Fulton County
Bar Association; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mike Hauser.
