MOURNING the death of Bruno Pacini, former
educator, town justice, revered football coach, and
cherished community member

WHEREAS, There are certain outstanding members of our community who,
through their selfless commitment and dedication, have served to better
the quality of life in our community and have had a measurable positive
impact on the lives of its residents; Bruno Pacini was one such
individual; and

WHEREAS, It is with profound sorrow and deep regret that this
Legislative Body records the passing of Bruno Pacini, noting the
significance of his purposeful life and accomplishments; and

WHEREAS, Bruno Pacini of Medina, New York, died on Friday, April 19,
2024, at the age of 102; and

WHEREAS, Born in North Tonawanda, New York on January 21, 1922, he
was the son of the late Guy and Leontine (Bourdon) Pacini; he graduated
from North Tonawanda High School, then entered the U.S. Army in October
of 1942, serving as a Staff Sergeant until February of 1946; and

WHEREAS, Upon leaving the military, Bruno Pacini went to Niagara
University to continue his education; he earned his Bachelor of Science
degree in 1950, and a Master of Arts degree in 1951; and

WHEREAS, Bruno Pacini's teaching career was spent at
Royalton-Hartland in Middleport where he taught Social Studies for 27
years; he also became the football coach at the school until his
retirement in 1977; and

WHEREAS, For his hard work and gained respect by the
Royalton-Hartland community, the football field at the school was named
in his honor; and

WHEREAS, Following his retirement from the field of education, Bruno
Pacini was elected Royalton Town Justice, a position he would hold for
12 years; and

WHEREAS, Bruno Pacini was also a member of the Clute Phillips Post
No. 938 of the American Legion in Middleport and the Knights of
Columbus, and was the last surviving member of the original inductees of
the Foundation Award Winners of the Niagara Orleans League; and

WHEREAS, Bruno Pacini was proud to have been inducted into the North
Tonawanda Football Hall of Fame, the Niagara University Hall of Fame,
and the Roy-Hart "Proud to be a Ram" Wall of Fame; and

WHEREAS, Ever active in his community, Bruno Pacini would attend the
Wall of Fame events consistently; more recently, he attended the annual
Niagara-Orleans League dinner in June, showing his dedication to being
involved and present in the lives of so many who he had treasured
knowing; and


WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Bruno Pacini leaves behind a legacy which will long endure
the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all who
were privileged to have known and loved such an inspiring man; he will
be deeply missed and truly merits the grateful tribute of this
Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Bruno Pacini, and to express its deepest condolences
to his family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Bruno Pacini.
