CONGRATULATING Christopher Cardello, owner and
founder of Subaru of Utica, upon the occasion of his
retirement after 35 years of distinguished service

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Christopher Cardello, owner and founder of Subaru of Utica,
upon the occasion of his retirement after 35 years of distinguished
service; he will officially retire on Friday, May 31, 2024; and

WHEREAS, At just 19 years old, Christopher Cardello began his
illustrious career in the car dealership business with 40 dollars and a
dream; since its inception, Subaru of Utica has grown into a
full-service dealership serving its customers throughout Utica,
Yorkville, Whitesboro and beyond, with a personalized touch; and

WHEREAS, Under the able leadership of Christopher Cardello, Subaru
of Utica has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to supporting
passions and causes throughout the local community, including Utica
Little League, the Stone Francis Mercurio Skatepark Project, and the
Central New York Children's Dyslexia Center; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, Subaru of Utica was nationally recognized by
Subaru of America, Inc. with its 2024 Love Promise Customer and
Community Commitment Award for its dedication to making a positive
impact on the lives of its customers and neighbors through various
partnerships with local charities and non-profit organizations,
including the Stevens-Swan Humane Society, Rome Humane Society, Herkimer
Humane Society, Utica Boiler Maker, Heart Run and Walk, Positively Rome,
Snow Show Event Rome, Rome Bike Trail, Paddlefest, Ride for Missing
Children, Rome Clean and Green, as well as several initiatives to
support local schools and healthcare centers; and

WHEREAS, For the past 35 years, Christopher Cardello rendered
faithful, conscientious, and valuable service to Subaru of Utica,
earning the admiration, esteem, and affection of his colleagues; and

WHEREAS, The success of Subaru of Utica, New York, is in direct
correlation to the efforts of Christopher Cardello whose involvement is,
and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the business and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate
blending of strength, leadership, intellect, and commitment as that
demonstrated by Christopher Cardello over a lifetime of sacrifice and
dedication to others; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Christopher Cardello, owner and founder of Subaru of Utica,
upon the occasion of his retirement after 35 years of distinguished
service, and to wish him well in all his future endeavors; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Christopher Cardello.
