CONGRATULATING Timothy Hilker, former United
States Marine, upon the occasion of his retirement
as President of the Association of School Business
Officials (ASBO New York) and for his special
recognition at their Annual Luncheon and Awards
Ceremony on June 6, 2023

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and service have
enhanced the quality of life in their communities and this great state;
and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to congratulate Timothy
Hilker upon the occasion of his retirement as President of the
Association of School Business Officials (ASBO New York) and for his
special recognition at their Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on
Tuesday, June 6, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Hilker had a successful career in the United Stated
Marine Corps, proudly serving his country for six years; and

WHEREAS, Following his service, Timothy Hilker earned his Bachelor's
Degree in Accounting from the University at Buffalo and his Master's
Degree in Business Administration and School District Business Leader
Certification from Niagara University; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Hilker would serve as District Treasurer for
Niagara Wheatfield Central School District, and as School Business
Administrator of Hadley-Luzerne and Galway Central School Districts; and

WHEREAS, Serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Business at
Saratoga Springs City School District since 2016, Timothy Hilker's
remarkable leadership shows through his continued devotion to education
and school business officials; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Hilker has been committed to the development of the
school business profession through his work as a school administrator
and as President of the Association of School Business Officials of New
York; and

WHEREAS, Due to his tireless commitment, Timothy Hilker received the
George A. Perry Volunteer Service Award in 2019 and the Dr. Joan Colvin
Starfish Award in 2021 from the Association of School Business Officials
of New York; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Timothy Hilker has worked tirelessly
to ensure school business officials in New York State have the best
chance to succeed; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Timothy Hilker, United States Marine, upon the occasion of
his retirement as President of the Association of School Business
Officials (ASBO New York) and for his special recognition at their
Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on June 6, 2023; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Timothy Hilker.
