HONORING Linda Zazek upon the occasion of her
retirement after 32 years of distinguished service
to the Delaware Chenango Madison Otsego Board of
Cooperative Educational Services
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
those individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Linda Zazek upon the occasion of her retirement after 32 years of
distinguished service to the Delaware Chenango Madison Otsego Board of
Cooperative Educational Services (DCMO BOCES) on Wednesday, June 7,
2023; and
WHEREAS, For the past 32 years, Linda Zazek rendered faithful,
conscientious, and valuable service to DCMO BOCES; and
WHEREAS, Linda Zazek served as a Board Member for the Gilbertsville
Mt. Upton School District from 1989-1997; in 1999, she began her tenure
with the Delaware Chenango Madison Otsego Board of Cooperative
Educational Services, the esteemed institution from which she will
retire; and
WHEREAS, In 2003, she was elected to the role of Vice President,
dutifully serving in this capacity until 2013; and
WHEREAS, The following year, 2014, she was elected to serve as Board
President, bringing her distinguished poise and professionalism to the
role for seven years; and
WHEREAS, A testament to her character and good faith service, in
2007, Linda Zazek was honored as Outstanding School Board Member by the
Chenango County School Board Association; and
WHEREAS, Linda Zazek always served with loyalty, honor, and
distinction in the variety of roles she fulfilled; and
WHEREAS, In her official acts, Linda Zazek was governed by a keen
sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; and
WHEREAS, During her tenure with DCMO BOCES, Linda Zazek earned the
admiration, esteem, and affection of her colleagues; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Linda Zazek upon the occasion of her retirement after 32 years of
distinguished service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Linda Zazek.
