 Introduced  by  Sens.  MYRIE,  HOYLMAN-SIGAL, KRUEGER, SEPULVEDA -- read
   twice and ordered printed, and when printed to  be  committed  to  the
   Committee on Elections
 
 AN  ACT to amend the election law, in relation to requiring the board of
   elections to maintain a database of all  campaign  finance  disclosure
   report  filers  and  to  provide  a  means to search such database for
   active filers
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. The election law is amended by adding a new section 14-123
 to read as follows:
   § 14-123. DATABASE OF CAMPAIGN FINANCE DISCLOSURE REPORT  FILERS.  THE
 BOARD  OF  ELECTIONS  SHALL  MAINTAIN A DATABASE OF ALL CAMPAIGN FINANCE
 DISCLOSURE REPORT FILERS ON ITS WEBSITE. THE BOARD  OF  ELECTIONS  SHALL
 ESTABLISH  A  MEANS TO LIMIT A SEARCH OF SUCH DATABASE TO DISPLAY ACTIVE
 FILERS ONLY.
   § 2. This act shall take effect one year after it shall have become  a
 law.    Effective immediately, the addition and/or repeal of any rule or
 regulation necessary for the implementation of this act on its effective
 date are authorized to be made and completed on or before such effective
 date.
