PALUMBO, BORRELLO, ORTT, STEC -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Disabilities AN ACT to amend Kendra's law, in relation to making the provisions ther- eof permanent THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 18 of chapter 408 of the laws of 1999, constituting Kendra's law, as amended by section 1 of subpart H of part UU of chapter 56 of the laws of 2022, is amended to read as follows: § 18. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that section fifteen of this act shall take effect April 1, 2000, provided, further, that subdivision (e) of section 9.60 of the mental hygiene law as added by section six of this act shall be effective 90 days after this act shall become law[; and that this act shall expire and be deemed repealed June 30, 2027]. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD08004-01-3
