BILL NUMBER: S3290 SPONSOR: MYRIE TITLE OF BILL: An act to repeal subdivision 6 of section 3502 of the public health law relating to the use of certain body imaging scanning equipment at local correctional facilities PURPOSE: To repeal the use of body scanners in local jails due to health risks and misuse. SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATION PROVISIONS: Section 1 repeals subdivision 6 of section 3502 of the public health law. Section 2 provides an effective date.

MYRIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Crime Victims, Crime and Correction AN ACT to repeal subdivision 6 of section 3502 of the public health law relating to the use of certain body imaging scanning equipment at local correctional facilities THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 6 of section 3502 of the public health law is REPEALED. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD06210-01-3
