   printed to be committed to the Committee on Ethics and Internal Gover-
   nance
 
 AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to  posting  finan-
   cial  disclosure filings for candidates for statewide office or candi-
   dates for a member of the legislature

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Paragraph  (k)  of  subdivision  2 of section 73-a of the
 public officers law, as amended by section 7 of part QQ of chapter 56 of
 the laws of 2022, is amended to read as follows:
   (k) The commission on ethics and lobbying in government shall post for
 at least five years beginning for filings made  on  January  first,  two
 thousand  thirteen  the annual statement of financial disclosure and any
 amendments filed by each person subject to the reporting requirements of
 this subdivision who is an elected  official,  CANDIDATE  FOR  STATEWIDE
 OFFICE  OR CANDIDATE FOR A MEMBER OF THE LEGISLATURE, on its website for
 public review within [thirty] FIVE days of its receipt of such statement
 or within [ten] FIVE days of its receipt of such amendment that reflects
 any corrections of deficiencies identified by the commission or  by  the
 reporting  individual  after  the reporting individual's initial filing.
 Except upon an individual determination by the commission  that  certain
 information  may  be deleted from a reporting individual's annual state-
 ment of financial disclosure, none of the information in  the  statement
 posted on the commission's website shall be otherwise deleted.
   § 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2024.

                       [ ] is old law to be omitted.

 AN ACT to amend the public  officers  law  and  the  executive  law,  in
   relation  to  posting  financial disclosure filings for candidates for
   statewide office or candidates for a member of the legislature
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
