BILL NUMBER: S4562 SPONSOR: CLEARE TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the executive law, in relation to compensation for required code enforcement personnel training PURPOSE OF BILL: To provide payment for required code enforcement personnel training. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 provides all code enforcement personnel shall be paid for any training required at a rate set by the Secretary of State Section 2 sets forth an effective date-90 days. CLEARE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Housing, Construction and Community Development AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to compensation for required code enforcement personnel training THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 376-a of the executive law is amended by adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows: 5. ALL CODE ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL SHALL BE PAID FOR ANY TRAINING REQUIRED PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION AT A RATE SET BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE. § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implementation of this act on its effective date are authorized to be made and completed on or before such effective date. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09340-01-3
