STEC -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Civil Service and Pensions AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to employment of retired members of the division of state police as special patrol officers in in the county of Clinton THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 58 of the civil service law is amended by adding a new subdivision 1-a to read as follows: 1-A. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISION OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, INCLUDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS SECTION, THE COUNTY OF CLINTON, MAY AUTHOR- IZE THE APPOINTMENT AND EMPLOYMENT, WITHOUT EXAMINATION OR COMPLIANCE WITH ANY OTHER REQUIREMENT OF THIS SECTION, AS A SPECIAL PATROL OFFICER, OF ANY RETIRED FORMER MEMBER OF THE DIVISION OF STATE POLICE. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD10894-01-3
