 Introduced  by  Sen. SANDERS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Codes
 
 AN ACT to amend the civil practice law and rules,  in  relation  to  the
   distribution  of proceeds from forfeited property; and to repeal para-
   graph (h) of subdivision 2 of section 1349 of such law relating there-
   to

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Paragraph (h) of subdivision 2 of section 1349 of the civil
 practice  law  and rules is REPEALED and a new paragraph (h) is added to
 read as follows:
   (H) ALL MONEYS REMAINING AFTER DISTRIBUTIONS  PURSUANT  TO  PARAGRAPHS
 (A)  THROUGH  (G)  OF THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL BE DEPOSITED TO THE GENERAL
 FUND OF THE STATE WHERE THE CLAIMING AGENT IS AN AGENCY OF THE STATE  OR
 THE  POLITICAL  SUBDIVISION  OR  PUBLIC  AUTHORITY OF WHICH THE CLAIMING
 AGENT IS A PART.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 AN  ACT  to  amend  the civil practice law and rules, in relation to the
   distribution of proceeds from forfeited property; and to repeal  para-

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Paragraph (h) of subdivision 2 of section 1349 of the civil
 practice law and rules is REPEALED and a new paragraph (h) is  added  to
 read as follows:
   (H)  ALL  MONEYS  REMAINING AFTER DISTRIBUTIONS PURSUANT TO PARAGRAPHS
 (A) THROUGH (G) OF THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED AS FOLLOWS:
   (I) IN ALL JURISDICTIONS IN THE STATE OUTSIDE OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK,
 SUCH MONEYS SHALL BE DEPOSITED TO THE GENERAL FUND OF  THE  STATE  WHERE
 THE  CLAIMING  AGENT IS AN AGENCY OF THE STATE OR THE POLITICAL SUBDIVI-
 SION OR PUBLIC AUTHORITY OF WHICH THE CLAIMING AGENT IS A PART.
   (II) IN THE CITY OF NEW YORK, SUCH MONEYS SHALL BE DEPOSITED TO ONE OR
 MORE FUNDS OR ACCOUNTS  OF  THE  METROPOLITAN  TRANSPORTATION  AUTHORITY
 ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO SECTION TWELVE HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE OF THE PUBLIC
 AUTHORITIES LAW, AS DETERMINED BY THE GOVERNING BOARD OF SUCH AUTHORITY.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
