STEC -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend the family court act, in relation to the number of judg- es of the family court in St. Lawrence county THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 131 of the family court act is amended by adding a new subdivision (w) to read as follows: (W) IN THE COUNTY OF ST. LAWRENCE THERE SHALL BE ONE ADDITIONAL FAMILY COURT JUDGE AND THE NUMBER OF SUCH JUDGES NOW EXISTING IS HEREBY INCREASED ACCORDINGLY. THE COMPENSATION OF THE ADDITIONAL FAMILY COURT JUDGE SHALL BE THE SAME AS THE EXISTING FAMILY COURT JUDGE IN SUCH COUN- TY. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
