 Introduced  by  Sen. PALUMBO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Consumer Protection
 
 AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation  to  the  sale  of
   motor vehicle tires
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section
 391-w to read as follows:
   § 391-W. SALE OF MOTOR VEHICLE TIRES. ANY PERSON, FIRM, ASSOCIATION OR
 CORPORATION WHICH SELLS MOTOR VEHICLE TIRES TO CONSUMERS IN  THIS  STATE
 SHALL  INCLUDE  ON  ANY RECEIPT FOR SUCH SALE THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE OF
 EVERY TIRE SOLD. WHERE MORE THAN ONE TIRE IS SOLD  IN  A  SINGLE  TRANS-
 ACTION, THE MANUFACTURE DATE OF EACH TIRE SHALL BE LISTED SEPARATELY.
   §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall
