BILL NUMBER: S8515 SPONSOR: JACKSON TITLE OF BILL: An act to repeal paragraph (g) of subdivision 4 of section 209 of the civil service law, relating to resolutions of disputes in the course of collective negotiations with certain deputy sheriffs PURPOSE: To repeal a section of the civil service law and remove limits on what deputy sheriffs can discuss during collective bargaining. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one removes paragraph (g) of subdivision 4 of section 209 of the civil service law to broaden the scope of terms that can be set during collective bargaining by certain deputy sheriffs. JACKSON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Civil Service and Pensions AN ACT to repeal paragraph (g) of subdivision 4 of section 209 of the civil service law, relating to resolutions of disputes in the course of collective negotiations with certain deputy sheriffs THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (g) of subdivision 4 of section 209 of the civil service law is REPEALED. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
