 Introduced  by Sen. GIANARIS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Elections
 
 AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to counting  ballots;  and
   to repeal certain provisions of such law relating thereto
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 9-110  of  the  election  law,  as
 amended  by  chapter  474  of  the  laws  of 2023, is amended to read as
 follows:
   3. Nothing in this section shall be construed  to  require  or  permit
 EARLY VOTE BY MAIL, absentee or affidavit ballots to be canvassed at the
 poll  site  on election day. Such ballots shall be canvassed pursuant to
 section 9-209 of this article.
   § 2.  Section 9-114 of the election law is REPEALED.
   § 3. Section 8-506 of the election law is REPEALED.
   § 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
