 Introduced  by Sen. GONZALEZ -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in  relation  to  requiring
   that  operators  of  limited use motorcycles receive rules of the road
   pamphlets
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  Section 2261 of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by
 adding a new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
   6. RULES OF THE ROAD PAMPHLET REQUIREMENT. EVERY  PERSON  OPERATING  A
 LIMITED  USE  MOTORCYCLE  REGISTERED  IN  ACCORDANCE  WITH  ANY  OF  THE
 PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE, SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH  INFORMATION  RELATED
 TO  THE LEGAL USE OF SUCH LIMITED USE MOTORCYCLE UPON SUCH REGISTRATION.
 SUCH INFORMATION SHALL BE PUBLISHED IN  THE  TEN  MOST  COMMONLY  SPOKEN
 LANGUAGES  IN  NEW  YORK STATE AND SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO,
 THE RULES OF THE ROAD, SPEED LIMITS, WHERE SUCH OPERATOR CAN  RIDE  SUCH
 LIMITED USE MOTORCYCLE, AND CONSEQUENCES OF NON-COMPLIANCE FOR EACH SUCH
 RULE.
   §  2.  This  act  shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall
 have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or
 repeal of any rule or regulation necessary  for  the  implementation  of
 this  act  on its effective date are authorized to be made and completed
 on or before such effective date.
