 AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation  to  establishing  an
   awareness campaign on the use of hormone replacement therapy in treat-
   ing the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 207 of the public  health  law  is
 amended by adding a new paragraph (t) to read as follows:
   (T)  HORMONE  REPLACEMENT  THERAPY, INCLUDING INFORMATION ON PERIMENO-
 PAUSE AND MENOPAUSE, ASSOCIATED SYMPTOMS, AND  POTENTIAL  HEALTH  RISKS;
 THE VALUE OF HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY WHEN USED TO TREAT THE SYMPTOMS
 OF PERIMENOPAUSE AND MENOPAUSE; THE TYPES OF HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY
 AVAILABLE INCLUDING BENEFITS, RISKS AND SIDE EFFECTS; AND CURRENT RECOM-
 MENDATIONS  FOR THE USAGE OF HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY AND OTHER RELE-
 VANT INFORMATION.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth  day  after  it  shall
 have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or
 repeal  of  any  rule  or regulation necessary for the implementation of
 this act on its effective date are authorized to be made  and  completed
 on or before such effective date.
