JONES -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend chapter 55 of the laws of 2022, amending the general municipal law and the town law relating to authorizing fees and charg- es for emergency medical services, in relation to making such provisions permanent THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 4 of part KK of chapter 55 of the laws of 2022, amending the general municipal law and the town law relating to author- izing fees and charges for emergency medical services, is amended to read as follows: § 4. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law and shall apply to health care claims submitted on or after such date[; provided, however, that this act shall expire and be deemed repealed four years after it shall have become a law]. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD07459-01-5
