MAGNARELLI, BUTTENSCHON, STIRPE, PAULIN, GLICK, SAYEGH, JACOBSON, COLTON, EPSTEIN, HYNDMAN, LEVENBERG, HEVESI, SIMON, REYES, EACHUS, BORES -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the civil practice law and rules, in relation to the issuance of additional orders of protection THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The civil practice law and rules is amended by adding a new section 6349 to read as follows: § 6349. ISSUING ADDITIONAL ORDERS OF PROTECTION. WHEN REVIEWING AN EXTREME RISK PROTECTION ORDER OR TEMPORARY EXTREME RISK PROTECTION ORDER PETITION UNDER THIS ARTICLE, THE COURT MAY ALSO CONSIDER ANY APPLICA- TIONS FOR AN ORDER OF PROTECTION BROUGHT BY THE PETITIONER IN THE SAME PROCEEDING UNDER THE CRIMINAL PROCEDURE LAW, THE DOMESTIC RELATIONS LAW AND/OR THE FAMILY COURT ACT. IF THE COURT FINDS SUCH AN ORDER WARRANTED, IT MAY ISSUE AN ORDER OF PROTECTION PURSUANT TO THE CRIMINAL PROCEDURE LAW, THE DOMESTIC RELATIONS LAW OR THE FAMILY COURT ACT. § 2.
