 AN ACT to amend the public housing law, in  relation  to  requiring  New
   York  city housing authority to maintain a database of vacant residen-
   tial housing units

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Section 402 of the public housing law is amended by adding
 a new subdivision 12 to read as follows:
   12. A. THE NEW YORK CITY HOUSING AUTHORITY SHALL ESTABLISH  AND  MAIN-
 TAIN  A PUBLIC DATABASE OF ALL RESIDENTIAL DWELLING UNITS THAT HAVE BEEN
 VACANT FOR AT LEAST ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY DAYS.
   B. SUCH DATABASE SHALL CONTAIN:
   (I) THE MONTH AND YEAR WHEN EACH UNIT WAS LAST VACATED;
   (II) THE PROJECTED DATE FOR THE COMPLETION OF ANY NECESSARY REPAIRS IN
 EACH SUCH UNIT; AND
   (III) A PROJECTED DATE FOR WHEN EACH SUCH UNIT WILL BE AVAILABLE.
   C. SUCH DATABASE  SHALL  BE  PUBLICLY  AVAILABLE  ON  THE  AUTHORITY'S
 WEBSITE AND UPDATED ON A QUARTERLY BASIS.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
