Senate Resolution No. 155

COMMENDING Wanda Bruchis for her many years of
devoted service to the Mid York Library System and
her beloved community
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
those individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate and thank Wanda Bruchis for her many years of devoted
service; and
WHEREAS, Wanda Bruchis served as Executive Director of the Mid York
Library System for 17 years and previously served as Acting Director and
Assistant Director; and
WHEREAS, The Mid York Library System is a nonprofit organization
that promotes and assists all public libraries located in Herkimer,
Oneida, and Madison Counties, from small rural areas to larger urban
communities; and
WHEREAS, Under the tremendous leadership of Wanda Bruchis, library
service in Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida Counties has evolved, expanded,
and improved; and
WHEREAS, Wanda Bruchis has demonstrated a strong advocacy for the
Mid York Library System, libraries, and reading and has been integral to
supporting and promoting the crucial roles our libraries have as
community resource centers; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their communities certainly have
earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Wanda Bruchis for her years of devoted service to the Mid York
Library System, her beloved community, and the State of New York; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Wanda Bruchis.
