HONORING Cortese Construction Services Corporation
upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the Large Business of the Year Award by the Clarence
Chamber of Commerce on March 20, 2025
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those distinguished businesses which devote their work and
purpose to community service, contributing to the welfare of the
citizens of their communities and this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Cortese Construction Services Corporation upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Large Business of the Year Award by the
Clarence Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated at its 52nd Annual Awards
Gala at Samuel's Grande Manor in Williamsville, New York, on Thursday,
March 20, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Cortese Construction Services Corporation is receiving this
prestigious award for its steadfast and unremitting commitment to the
beloved community of Clarence; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1951, Cortese Construction Services
Corporation is a third-generation family-owned business which boasts the
transformation of homes and enrichment of lives in Western New York
State; and
WHEREAS, Cortese Construction Services Corporation has humble
beginnings as a small concrete operation which was co-founded by Italian
immigrant brothers, Frank and Nick Cortese; and
WHEREAS, Throughout its many decades of business, the Corporation
has expanded into one of the largest home remodeling companies in
Buffalo and the surrounding Western New York area, offering numerous
services, including kitchen and bathroom renovations, sunrooms, backyard
living spaces, additions, and even an Italian cooking school; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Cortese Construction Services
Corporation has been committed to quality craftsmanship, innovative
design, and exceptional customer service; presently, the company remains
the elite contractor for any home remodeling needs; and
WHEREAS, In 1997, Cortese Construction Services Corporation won the
Better Homes & Gardens Magazine Award for both Best Kitchen and Best
Bath categories, and for the first time in the magazine's history, both
rooms within the same house won first place; and
WHEREAS, In May of 2012, Cortese Construction Services Corporation
was the recipient of Buffalo Niagara's Business Ethics Award for its
outstanding operation of the business and customer service;
additionally, local publication recognized the Corporation for this
honorable business ethics achievement; and
WHEREAS, For three consecutive years, Cortese Construction Services
Corporation has been honored with the Buffalo News Top Workplace Award;
this dedicated business is active in its community through participation
in local youth sports, education, and civic involvement to ensure the
success of the Town of Clarence, not only renovating homes but also
building relationships and legacies; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cortese Construction Services Corporation upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Large Business of the Year Award by the
Clarence Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Cortese Construction Services Corporation.
