HONORING Go To Girls, Inc. upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the Organization of
the Year Award by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce
on March 20, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those distinguished citizens who would devote their life's work
and purpose to community service, contributing to the welfare of the
citizens of their communities and this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Go To Girls, Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the Organization of the Year Award by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce,
to be celebrated at its 52nd Annual Awards Gala on Thursday, March 20,
2025, at Samuel's Grande Manor in Williamsville, New York; and

WHEREAS, Go To Girls (GTG) is a nonprofit organization made up of
caring, concerned, hardworking women, who believe no family should ever
feel alone, especially when in need; and

WHEREAS, During the Global Pandemic, in a time of uncertainty and
stress, ten mothers with unique personalities, strengths, careers and
stressors discovered the true meaning of friendship and established this
vital organization to bring brighter days to the school-aged children of
the Clarence Central School District; and

WHEREAS, In partnership with the district Family Support Center,
school counselors and other community outreach programs, Go To Girls
provides support to identified children and families within the
community with careful consideration to doing so in a safe,
confidential, equitable, compassionate, and judgment-free way; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception, Go To Girls has provided 177 Bundles
of Love, 120 Birthday Bags, and two Kindness Awards: Bundles of Love
ensure that Clarence School children have what they need to keep them
warm and safe from the elements during a cold Buffalo winter; Birthday
Bags provide a family with everything to celebrate their child's big
day; and Kindness Awards have awarded $2,500 to two graduating Clarence
seniors who have displayed acts of kindness; and

WHEREAS, The success of Go To Girls is in direct correlation to the
efforts of its dedicated founders and support staff, whose involvement
is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves;
and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Go To Girls, Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Organization of the Year Award by the Clarence Chamber
of Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Go To Girls, Inc.
