HONORING Good Neighbor Supply Co. upon the
occasion of being named New Small Business of the
Year by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those distinguished individuals and businesses which contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Good Neighbor Supply Co. upon the occasion of being named New Small
Business of the Year by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce, to be
recognized at their 52nd Anniversary Awards Gala on Thursday, March 20,
2025; and

WHEREAS, Owned by Katherine Heffron and David Powers, Good Neighbor
Supply Co. is an embroidery shop and retail store specializing in
embroidered apparel and accessories; the shop has become a popular
destination for local designs, offering in-house made products that
reflect Buffalo and Western New York, as well as a selection of local
art and gift items; and

WHEREAS, Good Neighbor Supply Co. was formerly known as The Happy
Craft Company; the latter was born out of a love for creating during the
challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic; since then, the brand has
grown and evolved to become so much more than just crafts, and
rebranding felt right as they prepared to open their retail space in
Clarence, New York; and

WHEREAS, Now, Good Neighbor Supply Co. is especially known for their
Buffalo-focused apparel, including their fan favorite two-toned split
crew neck featuring a bold red and royal blue design and embroidered
letters to spell Buffalo; they also have vintage-inspired crewnecks,
hoodies, and wind shirts as well as items for the youngest Bills fans;
and

WHEREAS, Inclusivity is of utmost importance to this distinguished
new business, evident by the array of size options they offer which are
suitable for a large range of body types; Good Neighbor Supply Co.,
finding much success in their Buffalo-oriented clothing, also offers
creative options for unique custom designs tailored to a variety of
consumer needs and desires; and

WHEREAS, In addition to the items offered in-store, these dedicated
owners have worked with local businesses and individuals on custom
projects of all sizes; from corporate office attire to bachelorette
weekend packages, they are always creating new and personalized products
for their community; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the

recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Good Neighbor Supply Co. upon the occasion of being named New
Small Business of the Year by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Katherine Heffron and David Powers, Owners of Good
Neighbor Supply Co.
