MOURNING the death of Jean Eleanor Frisbee,
distinguished citizen and devoted member of her
community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and this
great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Jean Eleanor (Farley) Frisbee, of Delanson, New York, died
on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the age of 85; and

WHEREAS, Jean Eleanor Farley was born to George A. and Katherine L.
Farley; and

WHEREAS, In 1957, Jean Eleanor Farley graduated from the Vincentian
Institute in Albany and, much later, continued her education at Maria
College, also in Albany, graduating in 1988; and

WHEREAS, After 22 years of service with the New York State
Department of Taxation and Finance, Jean Eleanor Frisbee retired in
2002; and

WHEREAS, For more than 30 years, Jean Eleanor Frisbee served her
community as Election Inspector in Albany County; she was also Past
President of St. Margaret Mary School's Mothers' Association; and

WHEREAS, In November of 2004, Jean Eleanor Frisbee was elected as a
Town Board Member for Duanesburg; and

WHEREAS, Most recently, Jean Eleanor Frisbee was a Committee Member
and Election Inspector for the Town of Duanesburg; and

WHEREAS, Jean Eleanor Frisbee distinguished herself by her sincere
dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of her community;
she was a member of several Duanesburg organizations, including Senior
Citizen Group, Historical Society, and Parks Commission; she was also a
driver for the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corps; and

WHEREAS, The life, love, resilience, service, and dedication of this
caring, compassionate, and purposeful woman constitute Jean Eleanor
Frisbee's legacy which will continue to inspire those individuals who
knew her; she has completed her assignment, and her memory will forever
be etched in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and fellow
members of the Delanson and Duanesburg communities; and

WHEREAS, Jean Eleanor Frisbee is survived by her brothers, John J.
and George A. Farley; her three children, Richard Joseph Dewey, Dr.
Katherine Margaret Dewey, and Robert John Dewey; daughters-in-law, Diane
Allen Dewey and Cindy Peddie Dewey; son-in-law, Dr. Craig S. Siegel;
seven grandchildren, Dr. John Allen Dewey, Sean Ashton Dewey, Allison
Helen Dewey, Noah Alvin Siegel, Olivia Rose Siegel, Caleb Richard
Siegel, and Ashton Douglas Dewey; several nieces, nephews, and cousins;

many cherished friends; and numerous dogs, cats, chickens, birds, and
other animals she loved and for whom she cared so much; she was
pre-deceased by her husband, Ronald R. Frisbee; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Jean Eleanor Frisbee leaves behind a legacy which will long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
she served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Jean Eleanor Frisbee, distinguished citizen and
devoted member of her community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Jean Eleanor Frisbee.
