CONGRATULATING Maine-Endwell High School upon the
occasion of capturing the NYSPHSAA Division II
Championship in Girls Bowling on March 16, 2025

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly valued in high
school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic achievements
and pays special recognition to those who pursue such excellence and
become examples for the youth of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Athletic competition helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate
Maine-Endwell High School upon the occasion of capturing the NYSPHSAA
Division II Championship in Girls Bowling at Strike 'N' Spare Lanes in
Syracuse, New York, on Sunday, March 16, 2025; and

WHEREAS, The Maine-Endwell High School Spartans earned their first
State Championship and the first girls' title for Section IV since 2009
with the defeat of Union-Endicott High School; and

WHEREAS, Family members, friends, and the community loyally and
enthusiastically supported Maine-Endwell High School throughout its
journey; the girls' bowling team, which took second place in 2024,
scored a six-game total of 5,753, claiming victory over Depew High
School by 132 pins; after the first three-game session, the Spartans led
Depew with a 2,917-2,859 score; and

WHEREAS, The bowlers of Maine-Endwell High School held the eighth
through tenth positions in the rankings; and

WHEREAS, Sports competition instills the values of teamwork, pride,
and accomplishment, and the Maine-Endwell High School Girls Bowling Team
has clearly exemplified the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of
the school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Maine-Endwell Girls Bowling Team: Stella
Baker, Alora Bird, Alissia Cargill, Ella Dodge, Alana Dwyer, Bryna
Dwyer, Alana Kelly, Joyanna Krause, Jenna Kurtz, Chamil Reeves, Sarah
Savage, Reonna Smithgall, and Natalie Yale; and Coach Eric Williams; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the Maine-Endwell Girls Bowling Team and
Coach Eric Williams.
