HONORING the life and legacy of Ryan Phillip
Gleisner

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to outstanding individuals whose lives exemplify dedication,
service, and commitment to their families, their communities, and the
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, It is with profound sorrow that this Legislative Body
pauses to honor the life of Ryan Phillip Gleisner of Philadelphia, New
York, who tragically passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the
young age of 23; and

WHEREAS, Born on June 4, 2001, Ryan Phillip Gleisner was the beloved
son of Dean P. and Shelly J. Fikes Gleisner; he attended Philadelphia
Primary School and graduated with distinction from Indian River Central
School in 2019, where he was a proud member of the Honor Society; and

WHEREAS, From an early age, Ryan Phillip Gleisner demonstrated an
extraordinary work ethic and an enduring love for agriculture; he worked
diligently on his family's farm and extended his assistance to
neighboring farms, including the Shaw, Fults, and Horton families,
earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him; and

WHEREAS, Following his graduation, Ryan Phillip Gleisner embarked on
a successful career with the Village of Philadelphia, where he quickly
advanced to the position of Assistant Superintendent; he earned
certifications as a lineman and wastewater treatment operator and
extended his expertise to assist with the Village of Antwerp's
wastewater program, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the
welfare of his community; and

WHEREAS, Ryan Phillip Gleisner was also the proud owner and operator
of RG Hauling & Excavation, a business he founded and nurtured,
reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for hard work; and

WHEREAS, Deeply involved in his community, Ryan Phillip Gleisner
served as a fire council member of the Philadelphia Volunteer Fire
Department, where he was recognized as Fireman of the Year in both 2020
and 2021 for his unwavering dedication and selflessness; and

WHEREAS, A devoted advocate for agriculture, Ryan Phillip Gleisner
was a Past President of the Indian River FFA, an active member of the
Jefferson County 4-H Club, and the Holstein Association; his love for
farming was evident in his continued involvement with FFA and 4-H, where
he earned the prestigious American Degree Award and numerous other
distinguished honors while mentoring and inspiring future generations of
young farmers; and

WHEREAS, Ryan Phillip Gleisner's boundless love and devotion
extended to his family, including his parents, Dean and Shelly; his
maternal grandmother, Carol Clarke Fikes; his sister and brother-in-law,

Katelyn and Ken Batton; his brother, Greg Gleisner; his companion, Ragen
Page; and his beloved nieces and nephew; and

WHEREAS, Ryan Phillip Gleisner's legacy of hard work, compassion,
and community service will forever be remembered by his family, friends,
and the countless lives he touched; his passing is a tremendous loss to
the community of Philadelphia and beyond, but his memory will continue
to inspire all who knew him; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the life and legacy of Ryan Phillip Gleisner, reflecting upon his
remarkable achievements and his enduring impact on his community; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Ryan Phillip Gleisner.
