 Introduced  by  Sen. TEDISCO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
 
 AN ACT to amend the town law, in relation to dissolution of the  Jenkins
   Park District by the town of Ballston, in the county of Saratoga
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 202-c of the town law is amended by  adding  a  new
 subdivision 2-h to read as follows:
   2-H.  NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF GENERAL, SPECIAL OR LOCAL
 LAW, RULE OR REGULATION TO THE CONTRARY, WHENEVER THE TOWN BOARD OF  THE
 TOWN  OF  BALLSTON,  SARATOGA  COUNTY,  SHALL  DETERMINE IT TO BE IN THE
 PUBLIC INTEREST, SAID TOWN BOARD MAY, UPON ITS OWN  MOTION  AND  WITHOUT
 PETITION,  BUT  AFTER  A  PUBLIC HEARING HELD IN THE MANNER AND UPON THE
 NOTICE SPECIFIED IN  SUBDIVISION  ONE  OF  THIS  SECTION,  DISSOLVE  AND
 DISCONTINUE  THE JENKINS PARK DISTRICT, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PARK DISTRICT
 NO. 1, PROVIDED THAT THERE BE NO INDEBTEDNESS, OUTSTANDING  AND  UNPAID,
 INCURRED TO ACCOMPLISH ANY OF THE PURPOSES OF SUCH DISTRICT.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
