   read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to  be  committed  to
   the Committee on Environmental Conservation
 
 AN  ACT  to  amend  the  environmental  conservation law, in relation to
   designating water development representatives for  each  environmental
   region of the state
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 15-1109 of the environmental  conservation  law  is
 amended by adding a new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
   7.  THE  DEPARTMENT SHALL DESIGNATE A REPRESENTATIVE FOR EACH ENVIRON-
 MENTAL REGION OF THE STATE TO SERVE AS THE POINT OF CONTACT FOR  MUNICI-
 PALITIES  LOCATED  IN  EACH  SUCH  REGION  TO  AID IN THE ACQUISITION OF
 RESOURCES AND FUNDING FOR WATER PROJECTS.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
