 AN  ACT  to  amend  the  correction law, in relation to the registration
   information required to be reported by a sex offender

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Paragraph  (a)  of  subdivision 1 of section 168-b of the
 correction law, as amended by chapter 67 of the laws of 2008, is amended
 to read as follows:
   (a) The sex offender's name, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, all aliases used,
 date of birth, sex, race, height, weight, eye  color,  driver's  license
 number,  PAST HOME ADDRESSES, CURRENT home address and/or expected place
 of domicile,  any  internet  accounts  with  internet  access  providers
 belonging  to  such offender and internet identifiers that such offender
 uses.  FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS  PARAGRAPH,  "INTERNET  ACCOUNTS"  SHALL
 INCLUDE,  BUT  NOT  BE  LIMITED TO, ALL SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS AND ONLINE
 GAMER ACCOUNTS BELONGING TO SUCH OFFENDER.
   § 2. Subdivision 4 of section 168-f of the correction law, as  amended
 by chapter 67 of the laws of 2008, is amended to read as follows:
   4. Any sex offender shall register with the division no later than ten
 calendar days after any change of address, internet accounts with inter-
 net  access  providers  belonging to such offender, internet identifiers
 that such offender uses, SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS, ONLINE GAMER ACCOUNTS or
 [his or her] SUCH OFFENDER'S status of enrollment,  attendance,  employ-
 ment  or  residence at any institution of higher education. A fee of ten
 dollars, as authorized by  subdivision  eight  of  section  one  hundred
 sixty-eight-b  of  this  article, shall be submitted by the sex offender
 each time such offender registers any change of address or any change of
 [his or her] SUCH OFFENDER'S status of enrollment,  attendance,  employ-
 ment or residence at any institution of higher education. Any failure or

 omission  to  submit the required fee shall not affect the acceptance by
 the division of the change of address or change of status.
   §  3.  Section  168-a of the correction law is amended by adding a new
 subdivision 19 to read as follows:
   19. "ONLINE GAMER ACCOUNT" MEANS A USER NAME OR OTHER NAME, OR IDENTI-
 FYING DATA THAT ALLOWS SUCH INDIVIDUAL  OR  USER  TO  ENGAGE,  SPECTATE,
 MESSAGE,  COMMUNICATE,  PARTICIPATE,  OR  PLAY ON THE INTERNET, CONSOLE,
 GAMING SYSTEM, AND/OR NETWORK, IN WHICH OTHER INDIVIDUALS CAN ENGAGE  IN
 THE  SAME  GAME,  GAMES, ACTIVITIES, OR MULTIPLAYER FEATURES. AN "ONLINE
 GAMER ACCOUNT" INCLUDES,  BUT  IS  NOT  LIMITED  TO,  A  CONSOLE  GAMING
 ACCOUNT,  COMPUTER  GAMING  ACCOUNT,  USER TAG, USER ACCOUNT, USER NAME,
 NETWORK ACCOUNT, X-BOX GAMER TAG,  PLAYSTATION  NETWORK  NAME,  NINTENDO
 NETWORK ID, NINTENDO SWITCH ONLINE ACCOUNT/NAME, ONLINE MULTIPLAYER USER
 NAME, ONLINE MULTIPLAYER PLAYING ACCOUNT, UNIQUE USER NAME, OR ANY OTHER
 PROFILE  AND/OR  NAMED  ACCOUNT  THAT  ALLOWS SUCH INDIVIDUAL OR USER TO
 ENGAGE, SPECTATE, MESSAGE, COMMUNICATE,  PARTICIPATE,  OR  PLAY  ON  THE
 INTERNET,  CONSOLE,  GAMING SYSTEM, AND/OR NETWORK, IN WHICH OTHER INDI-
 VIDUALS CAN ENGAGE IN THE SAME GAME, GAMES, ACTIVITIES,  OR  MULTIPLAYER
 FEATURES.
   § 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
