BILL NUMBER: S5931 SPONSOR: COONEY TITLE OF BILL: An act to postpone the implementation and enforcement of advanced clean trucks regulations PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: The purpose of this legislation is to postpone the implementation and enforcement of NYS's ACT regulations. COONEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to postpone the implementation and enforcement of advanced clean trucks regulations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any law, rule, or regu- lation to the contrary, the Department of Environmental Conservation shall not implement or enforce Advanced Clean Trucks regulations which would require manufacturers of medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks to sell an increasing percentage of zero-emission vehicles earlier than January 1, 2027. § 2.
