BILL NUMBER: S6721 SPONSOR: MAYER TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 381 of the laws of 2010 amending the tax law relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax in the village of Rye Brook, in relation to extending the expiration thereof PURPOSE OF BILL: To extend the authority of the village of Rye Brook to impose a room occupancy tax not to exceed 3W. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 extends the authority of the village of Rye Brook to impose a room occupancy tax until September 1, 2027. Section 2 sets the effective date.

MAYER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations AN ACT to amend chapter 381 of the laws of 2010 amending the tax law relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax in the village of Rye Brook, in relation to extending the expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 381 of the laws of 2010 amending the tax law relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax in the village of Rye Brook, as amended by chapter 405 of the laws of 2022, is amended to read as follows: § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be deemed repealed September 1, [2025] 2027. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD10897-02-5
