CHAPTER 697
AN ACT in relation to establishing the criminal court of the city of New
York and abolishing the court of special sessions of the city of New
York and the city magistrates' courts of the city of New York
Became a law April 24, l962, with the approval of the Governor.
Passed, by a majority vote, three-fifths being present
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and
Assembly, do enact as follows:
NEW YORK CITY CRIMINAL COURT ACT
Article I. Short title; definitions.
II. Organization and administration.
III. Jurisdiction and powers.
IV. Procedure.
V. Miscellaneous provisions affecting cases in which judge
sits as magistrate.
VI. General miscellaneous provisions.
VII. Laws repealed; transitory provisions; when act takes
effect.
