Practice and procedure
New York City Criminal Court Act (CRC) CHAPTER 697, ARTICLE 4
§ 41. Practice and procedure. (1) Unless otherwise specifically
prescribed, the practice and procedure in this court is governed by the
criminal procedure law.
(2) The appellate divisions of the first and second judicial
departments shall jointly adopt rules to implement and facilitate
practice and procedure in the court, consistent with standards and
policies adopted by the administrative board of the judicial conference.
Such rules shall be uniform to the extent practicable. The
administrative board may promulgate such uniform rule or rules in the
event the appellate divisions are unable to agree.
